Hatch Show Print
Hatch Show Print is a working letterpress print shop that has been open since 1879. This historical location is a fun and interesting place to visit, especially for music lovers and concert-goers, but kids and artists love it too. Families can see how the letterpress prints are made, look for their favorite performers' posters, and/or try your hand at making a letterpress print yourself.
Located in the Country Music Hall of Fame® and Museum complex, kids can get hands-on with letterpress through the Hatch Show Print Family Programs - a unique workshop that takes place right here. Participants learn about letterpress printing from the staff, then create your very own letterpress art using carved wood, linoleum, and metal block images from the Hatch collection. Attendees must have a program pass to guarantee admission to this event where there is limited seating. Program passes are free and distributed on a first-come, first-served basis—thirty minutes prior to each session. This is available for ages five and up and accompanying adults.
Take a look at the many Hatch Show Print posters on display and for sale in the Haley Gallery as well as in the their gift shop plus other fun Nashville gifts. There is also corn hole available for kids, a mural for great pictures, and a pressed souvenir penny machine. Show the front counter you’re on the Nashville Sites Family Fun tour and kids can get a free Hatch sticker! Regular tour prices for Hatch Show Print are $18 for adults and $15 for youth.
Fun Fact: The very first Hatch Show Print Poster was a handbill announcing the appearance of Rev. Henry Ward Beecher — brother of Harriet Beecher Stowe who wrote the book Uncle Tom’s Cabin. The scramble letter for this stop is “U” for “Uncle Tom’s Cabin.”
You will stay inside the building to reach the Taylor Swift Education Center and Country Music Hall of Fame® and Museum. Walk up the hallway to the LEFT of Hatch Show Print to reach the main lobby of the Country Music Hall of Fame® and Museum. Once you are finished looking around, exit out the front—back to Demonbreun Street.
