Description

On August 26th, 2016, the Tennessee Woman Suffrage Monument, created by Nashville-based sculptor Alan LeQuire, was unveiled near the Partheon. The monument features five important suffragists from Nashville: Anne Dallas Dudley, Abby Crawford Milton, Frankie Pierce, Sue Shelton White, and Carrie Chapman Catt. Every year on Women's Equality Day, an event takes place at the monument to commemorate its erection.
