Description

Completed in 1893 and designed by Julian Zwicker, The Silver Dollar Saloon served riverboat men returning from the wharf of the Cumberland River. The Silver Dollar Saloon features Romaneque elements like the terra cotta frieze, stringcourse molding, and a turrent with an octagonal roof. The building then served as an art gallery before being used as the gift shop for the Hard Rock Cafe.
