Constructed by architect Bullock Smith, the 35,000 square foot Women's Basketball Hall of Fame opened in June 1999 and is dedicated to the past, present, and future of women's basketball. Inductees may be nominated in the following categories: Coach, Veteran Coach, Player, International Player, Veteran Player, Contributor, and Official. The Hall of Fame is home to the world's largest basketball, weighing 10 tons, which sits on the north rotunda. Within the rotunda, visitors can test their skills on three separate basketball courts. The seventeen-foot tall bronze Eastman statue is located at the Hall of Fame entrance in the Pat Summitt Rotunda.
