Five Points

36.177472, -86.74994

Description

The Five Points Redevelopment District, located at the intersection of 11th St, Woodland Ave, and Clearview Ave, began attracting companies thanks to low interest loans from the Metro Development and Housing Agency in the 1970s. In 1998, the tornado that ripped through East Nashville crippled Five Points, but efforts to rebuild and a major revitalization in the early 2000s turned it into a bustling, modern hub of shops, restaurants, arts, and culture in Nashville. In March of 2020, another tornado devastated East Nashville, causing serious damage to Five Points and the surrounding area.
