In 1998, the tornado that ripped through East Nashville crippled Five Points, but efforts to rebuild and a major revitalization in the early 2000s turned it into a bustling, modern hub of shops, restaurants, arts, and culture in Nashville. In March of 2020, another tornado devastated East Nashville, causing serious damage to Five Points and the surrounding area.
